Job Summary

Families Together of Orange County is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting oral health in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Clean teeth and gums, perform oral cancer screenings, and provide patient education on oral hygiene and plaque control.
  • Treatment Room Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms for patients, adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Instrumentation Maintenance: Maintain dental instruments, sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments as needed.
  • Health Education: Provide health education to patients and community groups on oral health and hygiene.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a Dental Hygienist Course at an accredited college or university.
  • Licensure: Current Dental Hygienist License, X-ray license, CPR Card, and coronal polishing certification.
  • Experience: Prior 3 years work experience in a dental setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language Skills: Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work effectively with children and adults.
Work Schedule

General work hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., however, start times will vary, depending on organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.

Work schedules are subject to change based on organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.

Saturday work schedules will also be affected or implemented due to organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.

Overtime may also occur due to organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.

Work Location

While staff may be assigned a primary site (Tustin, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, Wellness Center, Mobile Units, or Telehealth, etc.), you may be required to temporarily fill in at another site based on organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.
