Job Title: Lead Construction Estimator

Ames Construction, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Lead Construction Estimator to join our team in Ephrata, PA. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for estimating and bidding on commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project specifications and drawings to determine quantities and calculate pricing
  • Communicate with subcontractors to obtain pricing for projects
  • Determine quantities of materials in various trades
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions
  • Solicit and review bids for completeness
  • Communicate with team members and stakeholders regarding project details
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of construction estimating experience
  • Experience estimating retail stores, grocery stores, churches, car washes, and other commercial construction projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, Architecture, or similar field
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of construction management, architecture, and engineering principles
