This role will oversee the implementation of mechanical design and engineering activities in support of defense, intelligence, and missile projects. The selected candidate will apply robust mechanical engineering and design principles in the creation of machined, structural, sheet metal, and composite component parts. Responsibilities will include the development of bills of materials and component specifications for mechanical assemblies. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in engineering design processes, such as design for manufacturing, drawing production, configuration management, and the integration and development of complex mechanical systems.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or 6 years with a Master's degree.
- Proven experience in the following areas:
- Mechanical design of structures
- CAD and 3D Modeling
- Production of drawings in compliance with ASME Y14.100
- Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess (or be eligible to obtain) a Final Secret Clearance.
