Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Commercial Vehicles Safely: Ensure the safe operation of commercial vehicles for long-haul trips, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Transport Goods: Transport goods across state lines, ensuring on-time deliveries and maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
  • Perform Vehicle Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with Dispatchers and Customers: Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Driving Experience: Must have at least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years, or 6-11 months of driving experience in the past year plus completion of an approved CDL school.
  • Physical Exam and Drug Screening: Must pass the company's physical exam and drug and alcohol screening.
  • CDL Requirements: Must have a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with temperature-controlled cargo such as meat and produce is preferred.
