Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator II to join our team at Denton County, TX. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, compactors, front-end loaders, graders, farm tractors, and backhoes to perform various tasks related to road maintenance and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment to perform tasks such as patching roads, installing culverts, and cutting and hauling brush.
  • Perform traffic control duties, including flagging, setting barricades and cones, and directing traffic at construction sites.
  • Load and unload equipment and tools necessary for off-site jobs.
  • Drive diesel and non-diesel trucks to haul gravel, dirt, and asphalt as needed.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure proper function and wash equipment as necessary.
  • Perform flood control duties as required.
  • Fuel equipment as necessary.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
  • Must possess a Class B Commercial Driver's License issued by the State of Texas.
  • Driver's License with N endorsement issued by the State of Texas is required within 3 months of employment.
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License with N endorsement preferred.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires regular and punctual attendance. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
