Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac-Vasc Sonographer to join our team at Wheeling Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive imaging procedures to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

• Perform Adult Cardiac or Vascular Ultrasound procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• Coordinate and prioritize patient scheduling to ensure timely completion of procedures.
• Document procedure performed within patient chart to inform physician of test completion.
• Calculate and measure cardiovascular structures from procedure data to aid physician in interpreting results.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year of Sonography experience or recent graduate of a Cardiac Ultrasound Program.
• Obtain certification in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) within two years of hire.

• One year of experience in a certified echocardiography laboratory or vascular laboratory.
