Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Blake Hospital, a recognized Level II Trauma Center.
Parking Information:
Accessible parking is available at the facility.
Uniform Guidelines:
RN - Navy Blue, Clinical Support – Caribbean Blue, Radiology – Black, Lab – Khaki, RT – Grey, Surgical Staff – Ciel Blue.
Facility Capacity:
The hospital has a total of 383 beds. The Cardiac Cath Lab is designated as Department 746.
Job Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in Cardiac Cath, CRM, and Peripheral Vascular procedures.
Work Schedule:
Day Shift is mandatory for all staff.
Night Shift:
- On-call crew is required only for emergency cases.
Unit Specifics:
The unit consists of 5 procedure suites.
Staffing Structure:
The team includes 1 Director, 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 4.6 staff RNs, and 5 Technologists.
Patient Care Ratios:
The ratio is 1 patient to 3-4 staff members.
Available Equipment:
The lab is equipped with Shockwave, Laser, CSI, Penumbra, IABP, Impella, and Rotoblator technologies.
Electronic Medical Records:
The facility utilizes MacLab and Meditech systems.
Common Procedures:
The technologist will assist in Diagnostic and Interventional Catheterizations, Peripheral Vascular procedures, Pacemaker insertions, ICD placements, Watchman procedures, TAVR, and Electrophysiology/ABL.
Additional Information:
Travelers will be scheduled in accordance with hospital policies and are expected to work alternating weekends and holidays in rotation with permanent staff.
