Critical Care RN Float Pool Full Time

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse with Frederick Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our Critical Care team. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our Critical Care Float Pool, working full-time hours with a 7:00p-7:30a schedule, including weekend and holiday rotations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care using the nursing process and perform leadership and teaching duties necessary to support effective patient care.
- Assess patient biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning needs according to nursing standards.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care using nursing diagnosis based on identified patient needs and include all available resources.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and contribute to the evaluation and auditing process for CNA's, Technicians, and peers.
- Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or compact state.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's of Science in Nursing preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment.
- Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- At least 2 years of ED and/or Critical Care experience required.
This role requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
