We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Facilities Engineer to join our team at PTS Advance. As a key member of our High Performance Facilities (HPF) team, you will be responsible for designing HVAC and Plumbing systems for a wide range of national defense projects.

Job Summary

The Mechanical Facilities Engineer III will design, develop, and implement mechanical systems for our clients' facilities. This includes planning, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of HVAC and Plumbing design work, as well as evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform tasks and sequences of tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for facilities, including HVAC and Plumbing systems
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing systems and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement plans for system upgrades and renovations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Perform engineering quality assurance checks on project designs
  • Support new project proposals with mechanical discipline scopes, budget estimates, and schedules
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in HVAC and Plumbing systems design and engineering
  • PE License required
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with HVAC computer load and design programs such as Trane Trace software
  • Knowledge of Revit building information modeling software
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • LEED or Green Globes accreditation
