Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Faculty Social Worker - Certified Sex Offender Therapist to join our team at the West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Behavioral Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment of sex offenders in a forensic setting, as well as teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group therapy services to sex offenders in a forensic setting
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the areas of social work and counseling
  • Conduct research and publish in high-impact journals
  • Develop and implement treatment programs for sex offenders
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in a related clinical area from an approved program
  • Current certification as a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Professional (CSOTP) or a related certification from a professionally recognized organization
  • West Virginia license as a LICSW or LPC
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
