Your Responsibilities:

As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will facilitate student learning and achievement of course objectives while embodying our core values.


Core Nursing Duties:
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing education program's philosophy and objectives.
  • Design and revise the curriculum as needed.
  • Document actions taken in faculty meetings and participate in program reviews.
  • Lead simulation learning experiences in the Nursing Lab.

Didactic Responsibilities:
  • Teach and assess students in the classroom setting.
  • Create an effective learning environment addressing contemporary nursing issues.
  • Support students in their academic and professional development.
  • Utilize various assessment tools to evaluate student performance.
  • Collaborate with Course Lead Faculty to develop success plans for students.

Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the application of nursing theory in clinical practice.
  • Attend orientation at healthcare facilities.
  • Maintain knowledge of program outcomes and course objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical agency representatives and students.
  • Provide timely feedback on clinical performance and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • A graduate degree (Master's or higher) in nursing or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
  • Preferred experience in teaching within a registered nursing program.
  • A current, unencumbered state professional registered nurse license.
  • Certification as a Nurse Educator and national certification in a nursing specialty is preferred.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional competence through ongoing education and practice.
