Crew Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crew Leader to join our team at Wright Tree Service. As a key member of our vegetation management team, you will be responsible for supervising a line clearance crew and planning daily work to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Direct Crew Members: Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure crew members are working in accordance with accepted line clearance practices.
- Plan and Coordinate Daily Work: Develop daily work plans, adjust to changing field requirements, and take independent action when necessary.
- Enforce Safety Protocols: Recognize and mitigate hazards, enforce safe work practices, and conduct safety training in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate with Customers and Stakeholders: Obtain permission from property owners, arrange access, and explain work to be done.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance.
- Equipment Maintenance and Operation: Inspect and maintain trucks, equipment, and tools, and operate vehicles and equipment as assigned.
- Training and Development: Train new employees on proper procedures and ensure they are equipped to perform their duties safely and effectively.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience working on tree trimming or clearing crews, or successful completion of applicable performance reviews.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills, ability to handle stressful situations, and multitask effectively.
- Knowledge and Certifications: Basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits, and correct arboricultural techniques; American National Standards for Tree Care Operations (ANSI Z); herbicide applicator or operator certification and license; valid commercial driver's license; and valid medical card to drive company vehicles.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis; ability to work in various weather conditions and withstand exposure to all kinds of weather.
