About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Launch Engineer to join our Amazon Robotics team. As a Product Launch Engineer, you will play a critical role in the successful launch of new products and services in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Product Launch Manager in defining and executing new product launch plans, providing liaison and coordination activities with Fulfillment and Sort Center personnel.
  • Coordinate with local site management to ensure proper operator training, procedural compliance, maintenance, and safety practices are followed for new systems under test.
  • Coordinate Amazon Robotics staff for new product introduction while onsite, including system delivery, install, initial checkout, and data collection.
  • Partner with Program Managers and Development Leads to troubleshoot issues quickly and maintain launch plans in a dynamic work environment.
  • Capture and synthesize the Voice of the Customer (VoC) for all new product introductions and leverage this information to prioritize system defects and lead the triage efforts with product development.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners.
  • Assist the training manager in organizing, delivering, and improving the relevant product training materials.
  • Support cross-functional launch retrospectives to incorporate lessons learned into future launch plans.
About the Team

The Product Launch team is responsible for introducing and testing new AR products and services in the field. We work with Amazon Operations teams to ensure that they and their sites are ready to support extensive field testing of new technologies, and simultaneously we work with the Robotics Program, Development, and Support teams to ensure that the products and services are ready for launch in a live operations environment.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
  • Experience working with and managing third-party vendors
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
