Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the monthly closing process by preparing journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Provide financial analytics and insights to support business decisions.
  • Consolidate and review financial results from domestic and foreign subsidiaries.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly consolidated financial statements.
  • Support external reporting requirements by assisting with corporate information packages and footnote disclosures.
  • Maintain financial reporting structures in business unit financial systems.
  • Communicate financial results and estimates to management.
  • Utilize company data retrieval tools to perform assignments.
  • Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley internal control process documentation.
  • Provide support for internal and external auditors.
Requirements
  • 4-year college degree in accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience in an operations finance environment.
  • Experience managing small projects and coordinating outside resources.
  • Forecasts and plans resource requirements for small projects.
  • Monitors and controls costs within own work.
  • Specialized knowledge of accounting standards, practices, and procedures.
  • Specialized knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act internal control requirements.
  • Specialized knowledge of Hyperion Financial Reporting software.
  • Specialized knowledge of Carpenter's accounting systems and PC software.
