Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly financial statement reporting packages for business leaders, analyzing and investigating variances, summarizing data, information, and trends.
  • Financial Analysis: Work with business leaders to provide supporting information for spend analysis, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile cash accounts daily, prepare monthly reconciliations in Blackline, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Payroll and Accruals: Prepare payroll general ledger postings, reconcile petty cash accounts at month-end, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Journal Entries and Tax Compliance: Prepare month-end journal entries, handle tax issues with government authorities, and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Create new and modify Accounting and Finance standard operating procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial processes.
  • Auditor Support: Assist in providing auditors with schedules and analysis during annual external audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
  • Fuel Tax Reporting: Prepare monthly/quarterly fuel tax reports and provide fuel analysis reports for management, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting (Required)
  • Minimum two years' experience in corporate accounting (Required)
  • GAAP knowledge (Required)

A successful Financial Accountant must consistently demonstrate the company's Mission and Values, with strong oral and written communication skills, customer service orientation, and team-oriented approach. They must also be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work a flexible schedule when needed.
