Welder Specialist

Trillium Staffing is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join their team in a local manufacturing company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality products in a timely manner with minimal scrap and failures. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, the ability to read and follow work instructions, and the ability to perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance.

• Learn and follow work instructions to ensure quality products are produced in a timely manner.
• Identify and report equipment problems in the shortest time possible and issue maintenance work orders when necessary.
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and reports related to completed work orders.
• Advise the supervisor of any problems or concerns.
• Complete welding set-ups for the successful production of quality hoses.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or material problems in the shortest possible time frame.
• Precisely follow and adhere to all production specifications and procedures.
• Constantly patrol equipment, materials, and operations to prevent breakdowns and delays.
• Solve and correct all material problems.
• Accept and share responsibilities for maintaining a clean work area.
• Ability to weld hoses without assistance from team members.
• Take initiative to help others as needed.
• Have a good understanding of process control and monitoring systems.
• Achieve targets in efficiency, scrap, and recognition of materials used in production.
• Have a good track record in producing and meeting quality requirements to produce quality products.
• Excel in planning for setup, operation of equipment, and upcoming changeovers.
• Operate a forklift in a safe manner.
• Know and follow rules, methods, policies, and procedures of the workplace.
• Learn and follow ISO procedures for work instructions in this classification.

• Must have previous welding and fabrication experience.
• Possess strong mechanical skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions.
• Ability to perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
