We are seeking an experienced Nurse Care Specialist for our gastroenterology team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with patients, physicians, and staff to provide high-quality care.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients, including assessment, treatment, and medical care evaluation. They will assist physicians and staff in coordinating patient care and function as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Obtain patient consent for care and ensure patient confidentiality.
* Document health history, vital signs, and health risk factors, and assess disease condition.
* Provide patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
* Execute prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administer prescribed medications, and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response.
* Refer to/consult with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns.
* Educate patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
* Maintain/review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information, posting tests and examination results as needed.
* Respond to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls and maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:
* RN degree from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
* Minimum of one year professional nursing experience, preferably in clinic and gastroenterology settings.

Requirements:
* Current state registered nurse license and current CPR certificate.
* Ability to work a variable schedule, up to 29 hours per week or 1000 hours per year, without reoccurring shifts.
