Brew House Job Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Dishwasher at the Genesee Brew House. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dish-washing area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand
  • Maintain the working area safe and clean; sweep/mop as needed
  • Maintain kitchen floors clean and dry, ensuring timely wipe-up and clean-up of any spills
  • Notify the Manager anytime the dish machine wash or rinse falls below safety standard temperatures
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:
  • Standing for long periods of time on concrete floors, climbing stairs occasionally, and frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and up to 150 lbs. with assistance up to two times per shift
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels, moderate heat, open flames, hot surfaces, knives, and sharp objects
  • Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts, burns, slipping, and tripping

  • Manual dexterity skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Active listening - paying full attention to what is being said, understanding points being made, asking questions as appropriate
  • Speaking - effectively convey information to others
