Senior AISR OSC Network Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AISR OSC Network Technician to join our team at Parallel Partners. This is a unique opportunity to work on a challenging project that requires expertise in network operations, security, and system administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and direction for information systems operations.
  • Design, build, and implement network systems, ensuring high availability and security.
  • Direct the compilation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues and analyze network traffic to provide capacity planning solutions.
  • Monitor and respond to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems.
  • Interface with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
  • Manage the purchase, testing, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems.
  • Perform system-level design and configuration of products, including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications.
  • Plan large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies.
  • Perform a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation.
  • Provide quality assurance review and evaluation of new and existing software products.
  • Provide assistance and oversight for all information systems operations activities, including computer and telecommunications/communications operations, data entry, data control, LAN/MAN/WAN administration and operations support, operating systems programming, system security policy procedures, and/or web strategy and operations.
  • Provide input to policy-level discussions regarding standards and budget constraints.
  • Supervise all personnel engaged in the operation and support of network facilities, including all communications equipment on various platforms in large-scale or multishift operations.
  • Supervise complex operations that involve two or more additional functions, such as network operations, systems security, systems software support, and production support activities.
  • Monitor and respond to hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Provide routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities, including power, software, communications machinery, lines, modems, and terminals.
Requirements:
  • At least 7 years of experience in network operations, security, and system administration.
  • At least one of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional, Cisco Certified Design Professional, Cisco Certified Security Professional, Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience in Aeronautical Information System Replacement (AISR) and Open Sound Control (OSC).
  • Top Secret security clearance required for this position.
