Job DescriptionTechnical Leadership Role

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cloud Foundation Services, you will be an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
  • Drive decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Enhance the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification on AWS Services concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
  • Proficient in all aspects of coding with modern scripting languages and infrastructure as code practices
  • Expertise in Python and Terraform is a must
  • Hands-on experience with delivering and supporting large-scale AWS production workload infrastructure
  • Advanced understanding of AWS services for Traditional Compute, Containerization, and Serverless architectures
  • Expert-level experience in developmental toolsets including Jira, BitBucket, and Confluence
  • Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Terraform Certified Associate Certification

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Strong AWS, Solution Architect Profession, Developer, and/or Data Engineer
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with JIRA Align
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code development
  • Experience in SQL and No-SQL Databases
