Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in graduate-level instruction across various modalities, including didactic, online, and clinical settings.
  • Contribute to the development, delivery, and evaluation of course content.
  • Participate in clinical simulation activities and provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
  • Oversee student clinical experiences and conduct site visits to ensure student progression.
  • Maintain active clinical practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in a healthcare organization, ideally aligned with your specialization.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, committee work, and other service-related activities within the institution.

Qualifications:

  • Current national certification in an APRN specialty.
  • Unencumbered New York State RN License or eligibility for licensure.
  • DNP, PhD, or the ability to enroll in a DNP program.
  • A minimum of two years of full-time or four years of part-time clinical practice experience as an APRN.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a faculty team.
  • Evidence of potential for clinical scholarship, including presentations or publications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned DNP or PhD.
  • Current unencumbered New York State APRN License or eligibility for licensure.
  • Active membership in professional organizations at local, regional, or national levels.
  • Strong technological skills and a willingness to adapt to institutional software and procedures.
