We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Beltsville, MD.
Job Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the construction of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) New Currency Production Facility (CPF) in Beltsville, MD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in meetings with government representatives and construction contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review construction drawings and specifications to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Provide review comments on contract submittals to ensure compliance with contract specification requirements.
- Perform and participate in the three-phase inspection process to ensure quality workmanship.
- Prepare weekly status reports to keep stakeholders informed of project progress.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering/Structural.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Ability to commute daily to Beltsville, MD.
About the Project:
The new CPF will provide a modern, secure, and innovative facility for the manufacturing of United States currency and other government-issued documents. The facility will occupy a 104-acre site and will consist of a primary building with a footprint of approximately one million sq ft and a height of approximately 40-50 ft, along with a series of security screening buildings at the site entrance and sitework. The construction contract will have a 3-year duration with an enhanced 1-year warranty period.
