This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through the application of nursing expertise and skills. The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring positive patient outcomes throughout the entire care continuum.
Certification Requirements- Licenses: NV RN license is mandatory prior to commencement.
- Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Telemetry is essential.
- Candidates must successfully complete a telemetry competency examination, which includes the ability to identify and interpret rhythms and strips.
- Experience with patients who have undergone open-heart surgery is advantageous but not essential.
- Shift: 3x12, Nights.
- Call Requirements: No call is necessary.
- Availability to work during major holidays and to cover an additional shift may be required.
- The organization reserves the right to adjust staffing levels based on patient census.
- Work schedules may vary according to departmental needs and can include weekends and holidays.
The Telemetry unit comprises a collaborative team of RNs, CNAs, CCTs, and ACTs, providing care for a diverse patient population, including:
- Patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Individuals undergoing Alcohol Withdrawal
- Patients experiencing NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and Covid
- Post-procedure patients, including those with pacemakers, ablations, and catheterization procedures
- Traveling nurses may be required to float to different units based on their competency.
- Renown Regional Medical Center is recognized as the only Level II Trauma Center in the region, offering the most advanced medical care available.
