Job Summary:

Norton Healthcare is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team as an Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner - WOW Position. This is a regular full-time position working weekends, with a competitive hourly rate and shift differential.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate respiratory protocols and evaluate protocol steps, including all modalities of therapy.
  • Assess, develop, and evaluate care plans for patients, ensuring the appropriateness of respiratory care modalities.
  • Provide patient and family education on medications and therapy modalities, tailored to assessed learning needs.
  • Participate in monitoring quality of care and organize workflow to maintain smooth transitions between shifts.
  • Assist in day-to-day operations of respiratory care services, including accurate documentation, entering charges for patient billing, and monitoring supplies and medications.

Requirements:

  • One year of respiratory care experience.
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • One of the following certifications: ACCS, NPS, Registered Respiratory Therapist (National), or Respiratory Therapist (State) (KY).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of respiratory care experience, including critical care.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
