Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at AllHealth Network in a PRN (as-needed) capacity. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the overall success of our pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality patient care, including prescription information and assistance, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and other laws and standards related to the protection of confidential patient information.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, delegate work effectively, and assist in technician training.
  • Receive, interpret, and prepare prescription fills and refills accurately in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Complete all required paperwork legibly, by established time frames, and to accepted standards of practice.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all Pharmacy patient records as well as proper disposal of confidential consumer information.
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking of merchandise, ensuring proper stock rotation and inventory control.
  • Monitor facility and employee compliance with infection control policies.
  • Answer questions and provide information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals, if counseling offer is accepted.
  • Actively engage patients with respect to program integrations and services offered by the pharmacy.
  • Maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
  • Maintain disease and treatment knowledge via current literature and clinical practice guidelines.
  • Maintain awareness of third-party Rx systems and resolve third-party rejection problems promptly, resubmitting rejected claims for payment on a timely basis.
  • Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policy regarding medication incidents.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with physicians and other healthcare professionals in order to better assist the customer.
  • Demonstrate reliability and dependability through consistent and on-time attendance at work.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service, good communication, and professionalism with patients, co-workers, and outside agency personnel in order to provide high-quality services and to enhance community relationships.
  • Attend and participate as an active member in AllHealth Network meetings, trainings, and supervision as directed.
  • Follow all AllHealth Network and Pharmacy departmental policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required trainings as listed in Relias Learning (both online training and face-to-face training) within required timelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved School of Pharmacy and current Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of Colorado.
  • Must have experience in pharmacy and a strong knowledge of pharmacy practices.
  • Proof of current Pharmacist license required.
  • Must maintain a courteous and respectful approach to patients, staff, community referral sources, and administrative staff.
  • Possesses good analytical ability to gather and interpret information and to recommend and implement solutions.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Working long hours between breaks or meals may be required.
