Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Incoming Communications: Handle phone calls and address patient inquiries with professionalism and respect.
  • Appointment Oversight: Verify and monitor scheduled appointments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve patient concerns by identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.
  • Record Maintenance: Update and maintain patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and current.
  • Adhere to Protocols: Follow established communication procedures and policies during all patient interactions.
  • Financial Transactions: Collect copayments and manage outstanding balances at the time of service.
  • Electronic Medical Records: Ensure patient information is updated in the EMR system for accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical receptionist role is required.
  • Experience with athenaOne EMR is preferred.
