Job Summary

The Housekeeping Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating housekeeping functions in assigned sections. This role involves inspecting guest rooms to ensure they meet high standards, assisting room attendants as needed, and providing necessary training. In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, this role assumes all housekeeping manager functions.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect Guest Rooms: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms to ensure they meet high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Assist Room Attendants: Provide support and assistance to room attendants as needed to ensure efficient and effective housekeeping operations.
  • Provide Training: Develop and deliver training programs to room attendants to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assume Housekeeping Manager Functions: In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, assume all housekeeping manager functions, including overseeing housekeeping operations and ensuring compliance with hotel standards.
  • Monitor and Maintain Housekeeping Standards: Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained at all times, including cleanliness, quality, and efficiency.
  • Supervise Housekeeping Staff: Supervise and manage housekeeping staff, including room attendants and housekeeping coordinators.
  • Manage Housekeeping Operations: Oversee and manage housekeeping operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain management.
  • Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that guests are satisfied with the cleanliness and quality of their rooms, and respond promptly to any guest complaints or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field helpful.
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required; previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality.
