Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center. This role involves providing exceptional care in a dynamic travel setting.

Certification Requirements
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, and NIH Stroke Certification as applicable to the unit/position.
  • Valid state licensure/certification as mandated.
  • Completion of a signed Criminal Disclosure Statement prior to commencement.
  • Timely submission of Alaska Release of Information.
Job Responsibilities
  • Function as a Certified First Assistant or equivalent.
  • Work schedule includes variable days, primarily Monday through Friday, with on-call duties every 3rd to 4th night and weekend.
  • Manage care in a facility with a capacity of 5 beds.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with preference for travel experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Epic preferred.
  • Open to candidates with first-time travel experience.
  • No floating within scope to meet facility needs.
  • Possibility of accommodating block scheduling to be determined.
Common Procedures

Familiarity with the following diagnoses/procedures is essential:

  • Orthopedic: total joints, arthroscopies.
  • General: cholecystectomies, hernias, appendectomies, bowel resections.
  • Urology: cystoscopies.
  • ENT: tonsillectomies, myringotomies.
  • OB/GYN: C-sections, tubal ligations, hysterectomies.
  • GI: EGDs, colonoscopies.
Work Schedule
  • Start date is immediate, with compliance requirements.
  • Shift patterns are variable, primarily weekdays, with on-call responsibilities.
  • Guaranteed hours are 36 per week.
  • On-call duties typically every 3rd to 4th night and weekend.

  • Mandatory signing of SS verification release.
  • No restrictions on requested time off.
  • Local candidates are not accepted.
  • Review of COVID-19 Travel Policy and adherence to CDC guidelines is required prior to start.
