Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inspector Trainee to join our team. As an Inspector Trainee, you will assist in cleaning and preparing down-hole drilling tools for non-destructive testing, determine if drilling tools and equipment meet industry standards, and perform inspections at company-owned facilities, customer-owned facilities, and active drilling locations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in cleaning and preparing down-hole drilling tools for non-destructive testing, including drill pipe, drill collars, crossover subs, lifting equipment, non-magnetic drilling tools, and directional drilling tools.
  • Determine if drilling tools and equipment meet industry standards.
  • Perform inspections at company-owned facilities, customer-owned facilities, and active drilling locations.
  • Travel to inspection sites and stay for extended periods of time.
  • Complete all assigned tasks on time, up to the expected standard, and with appropriate supervision.
  • Show concern for quality, accuracy, and completeness of work activities.
  • Be aware of and comply with QHSE standards and practice.
  • Perform any other job duties assigned by the Lead Inspector or Operations Supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to work long hours and be on call 24 hours a day.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Able to move equipment and tools weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with management and co-workers.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
