Job Summary:

This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work with students across various grade levels, providing essential speech and language services to support their communication and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students of all ages, utilizing evidence-based practices and standardized tools.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating a range of therapeutic approaches and strategies.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting speech, language, and communication goals, and monitoring progress through regular data collection and analysis.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' educational and developmental needs, ensuring a cohesive and effective support system.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, providing expertise on speech and language needs, and contributing to the development of comprehensive IEPs.
  • Offer consultation and training to teachers and staff on strategies to support students with communication disorders, promoting a culture of inclusivity and support.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Iowa Speech-Language Pathologist license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Experience working with students in a school setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of educational and therapeutic best practices.
  • Strong assessment, treatment planning, and therapy delivery skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing high-quality services and support.
