Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech therapy services to patients, including evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders, swallowing disorders, and video fluoroscopy swallowing studies.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' swallowing, speech, and language functions and develop comprehensive care plans to restore impaired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions to patients as needed or prescribed in the care plan.
  • Perform clinical tests and measurements to improve function whenever possible.
  • Prepare patients for treatment by explaining the treatment process and positioning for comfort, safety, and optimal response.
  • Document all clinical services rendered to patients.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or related field.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (Pennsylvania) - State of Pennsylvania.
