Responsibilities- Preoperative and Postoperative Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients before, during, and after surgery.
- Environmental Preparation: Create and maintain a sterile and safe environment for surgical procedures.
- Patient Education: Provide preoperative and postoperative instruction to patients and their families.
- Physiological and Psychological Monitoring: Monitor the physiological and psychological status of patients during surgery.
- Care Coordination: Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, promoting their rights and dignity throughout the surgical experience.
- Licensure and Certification: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia and have a minimum of one year of operating room experience.
- Certifications: Must be American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certified.
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Experience: Experience preferred.
