Katy ISD is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paraprofessional Assistant to join our team. As a Paraprofessional Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with special needs, working closely with teachers to implement individualized educational plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Assist special education teachers in implementing IEPs for students">
  • Collect and maintain accurate records of student progress and performance">
  • Provide physical and emotional support to students, including toileting, bathing, and feeding">
  • Assist with implementing assistive technology devices and strategies to support student learning">
  • Carry out activities described in student IEPs under the supervision of classroom teachers">
  • Prepare and duplicate instructional materials for teachers">
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students">
  • Provide first aid and emergency response as needed

Working Conditions

">

This role requires regular heavy lifting of students, moderate standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling, as well as exposure to biological hazards, body fluids, communicable diseases, and chemical hazards.

Requirements

">

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a college degree or equivalent, a ParaPro test score of 464 or higher, or relevant work experience. Paraprofessional aide certification and CPI certification are also required once employed.

Estimated Salary

">

The estimated annual salary for this position is $35,000-$45,000, depending on location and qualifications.
