Position Overview
Role Summary:
The Registered Vascular Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting intricate diagnostic assessments of vascular and cardiac circulation utilizing advanced echo, ultrasound, and Doppler technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute ultrasound imaging of cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal blood vessels to aid healthcare providers in diagnosing circulatory disorders.
- May engage in therapeutic interventions such as pseudoaneurysm compression.
- Document and preserve examination data while preparing initial interpretations of results, along with other assigned tasks.
- Depending on departmental needs, may also perform standard abdominal, small parts, breast, OB/GYN, and various vascular ultrasound procedures.
- Support physicians during biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization interventions.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program is essential.
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound is preferred.
Certifications:
- Must possess either Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credentials from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
Work Schedule:
To be determined.
