POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Systems Validation Specialist with a robust technical background in Data Fabric and Coherency to become a vital member of our expanding EPYC CPU functional validation team.

As a significant contributor to the success of AMD's EPYC offerings, you will collaborate with a technical team to enhance AMD's capability to deliver top-tier, industry-leading technologies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and implement feature enablement and validation testing strategies for system-level SoC Data Fabric functionalities across all AMD Server products.
  • Create test content for targeted testing, system-level stress assessments, and cross-product IP evaluations within the Data Fabric domain.
  • Establish post-silicon validation frameworks (software, hardware, automation environments, and laboratory setups).
  • Examine interactions among various SoC features utilizing the validation infrastructure.
  • Conduct debugging and root-cause analysis for SoC coherency-related challenges.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to develop tools that enhance SoC validation and debugging processes.
  • Collaborate with teams to refine post-silicon validation testing strategies, methodologies, and procedures.
  • Formulate functional validation plans for Data Fabric features, ensuring alignment among cross-functional teams on support and validation strategies.
  • Drive post-silicon debugging towards root-cause identification and viable corrective action plans.
  • Work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment, demonstrating self-motivation and excellent communication skills.
  • Promote a forward-thinking approach that enhances development processes, code architecture, and fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Expertise in Data Fabric and Coherency functionalities within server CPUs.
  • Extensive experience in SoC validation, verification, and debugging of Data Fabric subsystems.
  • Collaboration skills to resolve Data Fabric/Coherency issues across multi-functional teams, including Design, Verification, Silicon Validation, Productization, System Hardware, and Software.
  • Familiarity with modern x86 microprocessor architecture and server platform architecture is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in developing validation methodologies, strategies, and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in test plan and workload development.
  • Participation in silicon bring-up, debugging, and post-silicon execution activities.
  • Strong SoC and system-level debugging capabilities.
  • Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (C/C++, Python, Perl, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of server operating systems (Linux, Windows).
  • Significant experience with standard laboratory equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Extensive board/platform-level debugging experience.
  • Deep understanding of system architecture, technical debugging, and validation strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience is preferred.
