Pipefitter Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter Specialist to join our team at Prism Maritime, LLC.

This is a full-time position that requires limited supervision and involves performing a variety of skilled mechanical duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting piping systems on vessels, burning/brazing, testing, and sketching piping systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SMAW and GTAW for tacking purposes of piping, hangers, brackets, and other items to support on-site installations. They will also be able to assemble piping by means of welding, brazing, soldering, threading, lock ringing, and bolting.

• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications.
• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping, piping systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• Work with steam, water, air, fuel, lube oil, sea water, and various chemicals.
• Develop specifications from general descriptions and draw sketches of parts or products to be fabricated.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies and promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED may be required depending on varying contract stipulations.
• An apprenticeship or welding trade school with six months of practical experience or one year of practical related experience.
• Possession of a valid State Driver's License.

• Lifting/moving up to and including 50 pounds.
• Routinely climbing several flights of stairs.
• Performing tasks in confined spaces.

This role may require working outdoors and experiencing temperature variations, extremely loud noises, and other physical hazards.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year based on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on the location and industry standards.
