Cash Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities –
- Protects the assets of the Main Bank and ensures the safekeeping of funds.
- Complies with all organizational policies regarding cash handling.
- Facilitates all monetary exchanges among departmental personnel.
- Maintains control over sensitive keys using the Electronic Key Box (EKB).
- Confirms the acceptance of video poker drop funds into Main Bank accountability and checks all related documentation.
- Validates HRM drop funds into Main Bank accountability and reviews all drop paperwork.
- Clears SST machines, verifies funds, and completes drop documentation.
- Executes fill and draw transactions when cashiers require additional cash.
- Generates revenue reports and video poker deposits during drops, ensuring daily verification of mutuel deposits and preparing HRM paperwork.
- Manages custody and issuance of departmental impressed banks, if applicable (e.g., food, beverage, mutuel, admissions).
- Reviews cashier packets (revenue envelopes) from various custodians.
- Monitors fund levels and oversees the replenishment of the Glory, NRT, and Player's Bank.
- Assists in conducting monthly inventory checks.
- Orders necessary office supplies and items for the parlor (food, beverages, toner, etc.).
- Confirms orders upon receipt (forms, food, beverage, etc.).
- Assists in preparing employee schedules.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required.

Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in cash operations or banking is preferred. To excel in this role, an individual must successfully fulfill each essential duty. The following skills and abilities are essential:

- Ability to interpret a wide range of instructions and manage multiple variables.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common documentation.
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory bodies, or staff members.
- Ability to compose and present information to management effectively.
- Ability to perform standard mathematical calculations related to job responsibilities.
Licenses/Certificates: Must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to obtain a Racing License, Video Poker Permit, and ABO Card.

- United Tote reports and over/short reports
- POS System/Cashier banks (draws and fills)

- Banks for food and beverage (bar, concessions)

- Main Vault
- Drop Count Room
Physical Requirements: Frequent wrist motion, sitting, hearing, and hand-eye coordination; Regularly required to speak, read, write, stand, walk, bend, and stoop; Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, and pull. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, bend, and lift at least 25 pounds. The work environment is generally non-demanding with a low noise level.
