Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with serious illnesses, focusing on relief from pain and stress. This role will involve working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities:- Perform physical examinations and medical management of palliative care patients in the hospital setting
- Provide symptom management for patients, including pain, constipation, nausea, vomiting, dyspnea, delirium, anxiety, and depression
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging studies, as needed
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide consistent care to patients throughout their hospitalization
- Display a compassionate and professional attitude, maintaining personal and professional growth
- Masters degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- Experience in Palliative care, ICU hospitalist, or oncology required
- Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license
- ANCC, AANP (or equivalent) or NCCPA Certification
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Current, valid DEA license
