About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient access and registration processes, while maintaining the highest level of customer service and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Access and Registration: Assign accurate medical record numbers, complete medical necessity and compliance checks, and provide patient instructions, while collecting insurance information and processing physician orders.
  • Quality Auditing and Reporting: Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accurate accounts and provide statistical data to leadership.
  • Pre-Registration and Collections: Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, including inbound and outbound calling to obtain demographic, insurance, and financial information.
  • Consent and Education: Explain consent for treatment forms to patients, obtain necessary signatures, and distribute patient education documents.
  • Insurance Verification and Benefit Data: Review eligibility responses, select applicable insurance plan codes, and enter benefit data into the system to support point-of-service collections and billing processes.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) and/or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)
  • Education: 2-year associate's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in patient access or a leadership role
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle: Understanding of admission, billing, payments, and denials processes
  • Insurance Process: Comprehensive knowledge of patient insurance processes for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification
  • Medical Terminology: Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, or procedure codes
