POSITION OVERVIEW

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is on the lookout for a dedicated Safety and Security Specialist to join our esteemed Safety and Security Team. This role encompasses a diverse range of safety and security responsibilities within a healthcare setting.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a member of our team, you will collaborate with fellow Security Specialists, the Fire and Safety Marshal, and the Safety Manager to ensure a secure and safe treatment environment for individuals receiving care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining safety across multiple facilities
  • Responding to emergency situations effectively
  • Staffing a control room desk and assisting visitors
  • Conducting regular patrols of the campus
  • Providing support to patients and addressing unusual incidents

Utilizing your strong organizational skills, you will be responsible for generating detailed incident reports and maintaining routine logs to document activities. Additionally, you will carry out various shift tasks and routines to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

WORK SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is a full-time position with potential work hours including 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, or a floating shift. Employees will work five days within a consecutive seven-day period, with regularly scheduled days off, including every third weekend.

COMPENSATION

The starting salary may be non-negotiable in certain cases.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license and meet the residency requirements of Pennsylvania. A conditional offer of employment will necessitate a medical examination and satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance.
