As a vital member of the Psychiatry Department, you will be entrusted with delivering comprehensive patient care and overseeing the treatment of individuals admitted to our facility. Your role will involve providing direct care to patients with behavioral health conditions, employing evidence-based methodologies to ensure optimal outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include conducting daily assessments independently, performing thorough histories and physical examinations upon admission, diagnosing, and managing treatment plans within your professional scope. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care and achieve favorable results.
Qualifications:
Essential:
A Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies is required. De-escalation training is also necessary if applicable.
Experience:
Essential:
A minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, demonstrating proficiency in the nursing specialty is required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements
Essential:
Must hold a valid Physician Assistant license in Tennessee.
Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee is required.
Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license in Tennessee is also necessary.
National certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., ACNP, ANP, CCNS, FNP) is required.
A Certificate of Fitness from the state of Tennessee is mandatory.
BLS certification must be completed prior to unit/department assignment and maintained thereafter.
ACLS certification is required for individuals involved in direct patient care.
Note: Tennessee licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-Tennessee residents.
