Role Summary:
The Global Product Manager for the External High-Speed Cable within the Data and Devices business unit will be pivotal in identifying and analyzing trends in advanced data center ecosystems and architectures. This role involves translating these insights into effective product launches and a strategic product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:
The Global Product Manager will function as a 'mini' General Manager, overseeing the comprehensive product strategy, business leadership, and capacity planning to meet revenue and gross margin objectives, ensuring the long-term viability and success of the product line.

  • Analyze market trends, demand drivers, customer requirements, industry developments, and competitive landscape.
  • Conduct market segmentation to devise targeted strategies for specific market segments.
  • Drive business development initiatives within the US region, collaborating with sales teams to enhance the pipeline.
  • Perform competitive analysis and benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop product roadmaps that align with the overarching business strategy.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Operations to create new products that fulfill current and future customer needs.
  • Establish market-based cost targets that align with business unit profitability goals and coordinate product teams to achieve these targets.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle, focusing on capacity expansion and defining cost parameters early in the design process.
  • Set pricing policies that reflect market conditions.
  • Engage in customer meetings to support the acquisition of new business.
  • Exhibit thought leadership in product management.

Financial Management:
Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) for assigned product portfolios, focusing on sales and gross or standard margin.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • 7-10 years of experience in product management and/or engineering.
  • Relevant industry experience is preferred.
  • A four-year technical degree is required.
  • Creative and innovative thinking capabilities to contribute to product strategy development and execution.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and build robust internal and external relationships.
