Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to work with middle school students in Hemet, CA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with adolescents and collaborating with educators and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Treatment: Assess and evaluate students' occupational therapy needs, developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to middle school students to enhance their functional abilities in areas such as fine motor skills, self-care, and social interaction.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments.
  • Student Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to promote student participation and engagement in school activities.
  • Progress Documentation: Document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Team Participation: Participate in team meetings, assessments, and case reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensure: Current California State licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certification: Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
  • Experience: Experience working with middle school-aged children is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
