Position Overview:
As a Fire Safety Systems Inspector I, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire alarm systems. Your primary responsibilities will include performing regular inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on various life safety product lines, including Electrical, Sprinkler, and Suppression systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure operational efficiency.
2. Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices necessary for the functionality of low voltage equipment.
3. Complete Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding through communication devices such as laptops and/or hard copies.
4. Adhere to a structured inspection schedule to maintain compliance and safety standards.
5. Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documents efficiently using a laptop computer.
6. Provide technical training and guidance to junior inspectors and trainees.
7. Ensure timely completion of assigned inspections.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a fire alarm license or the ability to obtain one.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
- Willingness to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends, to accommodate customer needs.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses as required by National, State, and Local regulations.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Compensation:
The hiring hourly range for this position is $20-21, determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
