Position Summary: As a Cargo Lift Operator, your primary responsibility will be to safely and effectively manage the operation of cargo elevators, facilitating the transportation of goods and personnel throughout our facility. Your role is essential in ensuring the seamless movement of items across various levels, contributing to timely deliveries to specified locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cargo elevators to move products, materials, and equipment between different floors within the premises.
  • Ensure correct positioning and securement of items within the elevator.
  • Conduct inspections of elevator machinery and controls prior to each operation, reporting any malfunctions or concerns to the maintenance team.
  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Keep the elevator and adjacent areas clean and organized, addressing any debris or spills promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate elevator operations and prioritize the movement of goods.
  • Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities within the facility as required.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in operating cargo elevators or comparable industrial machinery is preferred.
  • Understanding of elevator operation and safety standards.
  • Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy items and work in a demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to adhere to instructions and safety measures.
