Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intake Admission Clinician to join our team at Lake Behavioral Hospital. As a key member of our intake department, you will play a critical role in responding to referrals and service requests, conducting assessments for individuals of all ages, and collaborating with physicians to determine appropriate dispositions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to referrals and service requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults
  • Collaborate with physicians to determine proper dispositions and develop treatment plans
  • Provide technical assistance in the discharge planning process
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for community resources and support
  • Support the case management program with general duties
Requirements:
  • Education: Registered Nurse or Master's Degree in a human relations field required
  • Experience: Preferably two or more years' experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting
  • Licensure: Licensed to practice in the State of Illinois as a mental health professional is preferred
