About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Political Science courses at St. Louis Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of the college's academic programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Political Science courses, including lectures, discussions, and other instructional activities.
  • Develop and implement course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments that align with college and departmental goals.
  • Provide regular feedback to students on their progress and performance.
  • Meet with students during office hours to discuss course material, answer questions, and provide guidance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of academic programs.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of Political Science and incorporate relevant topics into course instruction.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in History or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in History courses.
  • PhD in History is preferred.
  • Experience teaching Political Science courses at the college level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
