We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Gulf Companies. As a key member of our Engineering Facilities Department, you will be responsible for providing engineering-design services for pipeline facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mechanical equipment and piping system designs for pipeline facilities.
  • Perform calculations and studies to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and maintainability of mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to ensure that mechanical and piping activities are aligned with project specifications and contract documents.
  • Prepare and review technical bid evaluations, material requisitions, and specifications for equipment and materials.
  • Participate in process hazard analysis and reviews of vendor drawings and documents.
  • Assist in the development of construction drawings, including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment lists, and piping plans.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on oil and gas pipeline facilities.
  • Deep knowledge of petroleum liquid and gas industry codes and standards, including US DOT, AGA, ANSI, API, ASME, ASTM, MSS, and NFPA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, with a Professional Engineering License preferred.

  • Effective technical skills, with a focus on mechanical engineering and piping systems.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
