Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shipyard Sandblaster/Painter to join our team at Integrity Staffing Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing sandblast and paint functions on barge and boat repair areas, internal compartments, and cargo tanks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sandblast and paint duties on barge and boat repair areas, internal compartments, and cargo tanks.
  • Operate equipment, vacuum pumps, air pumps, compressors, blowers, meters, hoses, etc., to accomplish sandblast and paint duties.
  • Coat barge internal cargo tanks and voids with the required number of coats and coverage.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with quality and environmental standards.
Requirements
  • Adequate experience in barge sandblasting, painting, and equipment operations.
  • Ability to perform simple paperwork as required for filling out forms and logs.
  • Mandatory drug testing prior to employment and random, unannounced drug and/or alcohol tests during employment.
  • Ability to communicate and take directions from Foreman and Supervisor.
  • Able to work without contact lenses.
  • Required to arrive at work on time and work overtime hours as required.
  • Understand general policies and procedures as described in the quality and environmental manuals.
