Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement therapeutic activities and programs to promote patients' adjustment to healthcare experiences.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients and families.
  • Delegate work assignments to volunteers and participate in clinical training of student interns.
  • Work 24 hours per week, including day, evening, weekend, and holiday rotations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field with a concentration in child life.
  • 600-hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a certified child life specialist.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills to effectively work as a team member.
  • Certification in Child Life Specialist required within 1 year of hire.
